On Tuesday, January 30th from 7-8 PM, tune into Out-FM (the progressive LGBT show on WBAI - 99.5 FM) for dispatches from Creating Change, the NGLTF's annual conference for LGBT movement building.
We'll hear from HUD Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan, former NGLTF Executive Director Urvashi Vaid, and QPOC youth activists from FIERCE, who delivered a rousing, OWS-style mic check to Obama Administration representatives on Friday.
Once a week or so, Out-FM emails loyal listeners about our contests for special free giveaways (theater tickets, LGBT-themed books, etc.). This is in addition to our weekly on-air giveaways. To start receiving notification of these contests, email contests@outfm.org with your name, email, and (optional) mailing address. You can opt out of these emails at any time.

Listen to Voices of Homeless LGBT Youth, who discuss homophobic violence in straight youth shelters, sex work for survival, and the support they desperately need.

In Beyond Gay Marriage, Brian Basinger, Lisa Duggan, Kenyon Farrow, Tommi Avicolli Mecca, Andrea Shorter, and others discuss LGBT organizing around issues beyond marriage and the military.

Learn more about the Aftershocks of Ugandan Anti-Gay Legislation. Dulce Reyes from the Astraea Foundation discusses the context and impact in Uganda, the role of U.S. evangelicals, and the deadly after-effects of this climate of hate.

Listen to a collection of some of Out-FM's best interviews with prominent lesbians and queer women: Alix Dobkin, Nedra Johnson, Ellen Shumsky, Cetlalic, Maureen Seaton, and Stonewall Veteran Storme.

Professor Samar Habib discusses the History of Lesbians in the Middle East: Is there such a thing as an indigenous Middle Eastern homosexual, or is it a Western import? What kind of evidence is there for the existence of these lesbians? What were their lives like?
